Reiner Heidorn

Munich, Germany

Reiner Heidorn is a German painter living and working next to Munich. In his paintings, Heidorn explores subjects such as the microscopic structures of microorganisms, plants, and chlorophyll. He often uses micrographs as a starting point, translating them into an abstract visual language that combines elements of Pointillism and Abstract Expressionism.

Heidorn also incorporates natural materials—such as leaves, twigs, and blossoms—into his work, using them as templates for printing and to create abstract, botanically inspired compositions. Interpretations of his work often draw connections to themes such as the relationship between humanity and nature, the environment, and the perception of natural habitats.

Reiner Heidorn's works have been shown in exhibitions in Brazil, Dubai, Taiwan, the USA and in various German and European cities.
